Chair

Jonathan Butler-White

(GAICD / MAHRI / MBA)

Jonathan is all about people, relationships, and communication. His extensive background in specialist and generalist HR, leadership, strategy, and governance underpin a passion for working with diverse individuals to find incredible solutions.

Jonathan has been part of the board of Jabiru Community Services since 2018. He is the Chairperson of the Board and Chairperson of the People Quality and Risk Subcommittee.

In addition, Jonathan is the Head of HR for the Queensland Ballet and sits on the advisory board of Broadway Crew LLC. Jonathan is passionate about coaching and supporting leaders to deliver exceptional and sustainable results for clients and communities.

Treasurer

Peter Kearney

Peter is a highly experienced Chartered Accountant and business advisor.

For over 40 years, he has provided strategic advice to a wide range of organisations, including property development, mining, logistics and Not For Profits.

Peter was on the Board of St Aidan’s Anglican Girls School for six years, Board member and Director of Finance at Muscular Dystrophy Association (QLD) for 11 years, current Chairman of Safe Place for Children, and current Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee at Stride Mental Health.

Peter specialises in Governance, Strategic thinking, financial analytics, and practical advice.

Sara Harrup

Sara helps people and organisations gain deep insights into who they are and how to reach their potential. She's held board and executive roles in for-purpose, private and ASX companies. Sara's lived the many complexities, nuances and challenges involved in leading organisations and has been supporting C Suite and Senior Executives as an Executive Coach since 2014.

Having a depth and breadth of experience across several sectors ranging from transport and logistics to community services, insurance, health, and education, keeps her open and grounded. This experience bears testimony to her ability to rapidly absorb information, gain an understanding of context and apply her skills, experience, and personal attributes to new sectors.

Sara's experience has included leading, advising, and supporting boards and executives through a range of key decisions.

Company Secretary

Jen Ulichny

Jen joined Jabiru in 2022 as Company Secretary.

With 20 years of experience building organisational capacity, Jen brings her expertise in strategy and governance with a demonstrated history of successful, complex program delivery, and encouraging best practice results for individuals and organisations. She applies a thoughtful and emotionally intelligent perspective in identifying and articulating vision and strategy.

Jen holds an Advanced MBA, Graduate of AICD, Fellow with GIA, has published research in wellbeing and economics, and is developing her PhD proposal around health economics for digital social policy. Jen is Chair for Inclusee Ltd.

Board Member

Penny Creamer

Penny is committed to the power of play and brings with her a wealth of knowledge, having worked in child and youth services and the education sector for more than two decades.

Penny has a professional background, having previously served as Executive Director - First Nations and Child Rights Advocacy at the Queensland Family and Child Commission, and she is currently the CEO of Play Matters Australia. She has extensive experience working in Indigenous education and setting up early childhood programs in remote areas. Working both internationally and here in Queensland, Penny has led a variety of policy and programs, including her work setting up the partnership agreement between child safety and education departments to improve educational outcomes for children in out-of-home care and the Bullying. No Way! campaign, which provides information and ideas for students, parents and teachers to combat bullying.
