Caregiver involvement is an important part of a quality school-based program. There are many ways that parents can become involved:
It is your right as a caregiver, under the conditions of our Licence, to ask for a general description of the activities and experiences given by us, information about our philosophy relating to learning and child development outcomes and how these outcomes are achieved, and the goals about knowledge and skills to be developed through our activities.
Some of this information can be found in the Parent Handbook. For additional information, ask to see copies of the current and past programs at the service, talk to the Program Site Manager, or contact the Children’s Services Manager (Operations) or the Director of Jabiru on 3269 0044.
Notices stating current information about groups and staffing are displayed at each Jabiru Kids site, for caregivers’ information. It is a requirement under the Child Care Regulation 2003 that we inform caregivers of the name, position, and qualifications of each staff member involved in your child’s program. This information is available at your Jabiru Kids location.
