Each Jabiru Kids site is licensed by the Queensland Department of Communities under the Child Care Act 2002 and the Child Care Regulation 2003.

To receive a licence, services have to satisfy a range of requirements, including:

  • Suitable play equipment
  • Indoor and outdoor space for planned activities
  • Materials such as books and craft
  • Safe play areas
  • Relaxation areas
  • Accessible toilets
  • Safe staff ratios
  • A positive notice bluecard for all staff
  • Qualified staff completed or currently studying appropriate childcare courses
  • Service policies and procedures in place for staff to follow.
