Once-a-year-day

Once-a-year-day is a forum for parents to meet with Jabiru board members, Jabiru management, and Jabiru Kids staff. During the day, we listen to feedback from parents, discuss new initiatives for our programs, provide information about developments in childcare, and hold consultation sessions with parents and children. We also provide food and entertainment for children throughout the day.

We held our first once-a-year-day in August 2007. Discussions with parents led to  several changes in our programs, including parent communication books at each site, clearer policies on behaviour support and homework, and improvements to our enrolment form.

We are committed to holding once-a-year-day in the second half of each year.
