Cancellations
If you wish to cancel any booked program, you need to inform us in writing. Either email us with details of your cancellation, or use the Cancellation FormĀ . The form can be handed in person to a staff member at any Jabiru Kids centre, or faxed to the Jabiru Office (fax: 1300 238 861).
Cancelled days must be paid for in full unlessĀ ONE of the following criteria are met:
- If the written cancellation is received at least 2 full working days prior to the booked care, the cancelled day will not be charged for (that is, a Monday booking must be cancelled no later than close of business on the previous Wednesday before to meet this requirement).
- Centrelink will pay Child Care Benefit for only 42 absence days each financial year, leaving you with only your ‘gap’ payment to make. Any absences that exceed this will be charged at the full fee unless you provide documentation that meets Centrelink’s requirements for additional absence days.
- If a medical certificate is provided in writing within 14 days of the absence, Jabiru will waive your ‘gap’ portion of the fee.
Any unused bookings that are not cancelled will be charged in full. Child Care Benefit will be available for the first 42 of these absences each year (these are called Allowable Absences by the Family Assistance Office).
