Soothing times of gentle stretching, breathing, relaxation and balance activities that focus on achieving a calm state of mind and a relaxed physical body.

Professionally Supported Program

Our partners at Flexi Flow Yoga provide Jabiru staff with training and inspiration for these activities. Flexi Flow creates opportunities for children to connect their hearts and heads through movement and play. Principle Instructor Chelsea Baker encourages children to engage with the restorative process of yoga opening new ways of encouraging balanced perspective and clarity across physical, emotional and mental needs.

Flexi Flow

Creative mindfulness uses expressive art tools and creative process to foster self awareness, emotional regulation and mental responsiveness. Mindfulness is a state of body-mind awareness that can be tapped into through a variety of creative and movement based methods.

Flexi Flow Families

We love working with Flexi flow to gradually increase children’s feelings of quiet relaxation. It is hard to think of a more important contribution to children’s and families’ lives in a stressful pressure-packed world, than a greater feeling of calm.

Stretch, Relax, Focus

These activities are based on Yoga teaching. We recognise and respect the diversity of our families’ cultural and religious views, so Flexi Flow doesn’t teach any religious beliefs. The activities we do are designed to be engaging for children and to help them stretch, relax, calm and focus their minds.

Calm-Space© helps Jabiru Kids to quieten their minds and relax  their bodies.

Initial roll-out of our C4K project will take place in stages from June 2015 to November 2017.
